The clearest architectural difference
Lovable documents a native Supabase integration. Supabase supplies PostgreSQL, authentication, storage, realtime capabilities and edge functions, and Lovable says users need a separate Supabase account. OverSkill presents more of the application infrastructure as part of its own platform workflow.
How OverSkill's usage model changes the decision
OverSkill uses monthly build credits and also meters certain live-app work. Its documentation says hosting, page views, email/password sign-in and ordinary data operations within included storage are free, while AI calls, messaging and some integrations can use credits. That makes expected live AI usage worth modelling before committing.
What to test in Lovable
Connect the backend you intend to use, create authentication and a small data model, then test permissions with two accounts. Make a schema or UI change after the first build and check that the app still behaves correctly.
What to test in OverSkill
Build the same workflow and record how many iterations it takes. Check which infrastructure is configured automatically, inspect credit usage, test the published version and verify whether any feature you depend on is marked as coming soon.
Portability and future development
If a future developer handoff is likely, inspect the code/export and version-control workflow before choosing. Do not wait until the project is large to discover that your preferred handoff path differs from the platform's current capabilities.
Which one should you investigate first?
Investigate Lovable first if a Supabase-centered architecture is specifically attractive. Investigate OverSkill first if you want to see how much of the application stack it can keep inside one workflow and its credit economics fit your use case. Then build the same small project in both rather than deciding from marketing pages.
