Base44's portability model
Base44's official pages say paid plans can export app code to GitHub or download it as a ZIP. They also state that importing an existing GitHub repository is not supported. That makes export available while creating an important boundary for projects that start elsewhere.
OverSkill's current portability position
OverSkill's current public pricing comparison labels GitHub integration as “Soon.” If repository access is a hard requirement today, verify the latest status before building a large project. If it is not, focus the test on whether the integrated workflow reduces the setup you would otherwise manage.
Backend and integrations
Base44 describes full-stack apps, automatic hosting and external integrations on eligible plans. OverSkill describes integrated sign-in, database, payments and related infrastructure, with a credit system for AI building and certain live-app work.
Cost needs a project-shaped test
Do not compare a Base44 plan price with an OverSkill credit allowance as if they measure the same thing. Build a representative feature set and record how much iteration, external setup and ongoing billable activity it requires.
A useful portability test
Before committing, export a small Base44 project on an eligible plan and inspect what you receive. For OverSkill, verify the current code/GitHub options available to your account. The right question is whether you can maintain the product in the way you expect six months from now.
Choose around your constraints
Base44 is worth investigating when its prompt-to-full-stack workflow and paid export model fit a new project. OverSkill is worth investigating when its integrated infrastructure and usage economics fit better. Test the same authenticated, data-backed mini-app in both.
