Credits used while building
OverSkill says AI generation and modification use credits. Building a feature, fixing a problem, redesigning a page or asking the builder to make another change can all trigger AI work. The exact usage depends on the model and work performed rather than a fixed charge per prompt.
What is free in a published app
Current OverSkill help documentation says hosting, page views, email/password sign-in, previewing/publishing and ordinary database reads and writes within included storage do not consume credits. That means traffic alone is not the same thing as AI usage.
What can use credits after launch
AI calls triggered by users can consume credits. OverSkill also lists email/SMS, some integrations and storage above included limits as billable categories. The pricing page currently states 50 GB of database storage and 100 GB of file storage are included per workspace, with a 10 GB per-app database limit.
Why AI-heavy apps need a separate budget
A directory or booking tool whose users mostly view and update records can have a very different usage profile from an app that generates text or images on every visit. Estimate actions per user per month and observe actual usage after launch.
Buyer credits
OverSkill also documents “buyer credits,” which let an app owner include an AI allowance in plans sold to customers and apply a markup. The app owner still covers the underlying AI cost, while customer allowances and top-ups create a way to recover that usage cost.
Reduce avoidable build usage
Make changes precisely instead of repeatedly asking for broad rebuilds. Test after each meaningful change so you catch a regression before stacking more work on top of it. For plan context, see OverSkill pricing.
