Define the outcome first
Compare visual no-code systems with prompt-led builders by control, learning curve and maintenance model. Write down the user, the job they are trying to complete and the observable result. This keeps the build focused when an AI tool makes it easy to add another screen or feature.
Build the smallest complete path
Start with one end-to-end workflow. Define the inputs, stored data, business rules, output and failure states. Ask the builder for one bounded change at a time, then verify the result before expanding the scope. Smaller changes are easier to test and easier to reverse.
Test the boundaries
Happy-path demos are not enough. Test missing data, invalid input, duplicate actions, expired sessions, permission failures, integration errors and mobile layouts where relevant. If money or private user data is involved, test those flows deliberately rather than assuming generated code handled them correctly.
Document what the AI cannot remember for you
Keep a short record of the data model, environment variables, external services, important product rules and deployment steps. That becomes the stable context for future changes and reduces the chance that a later prompt silently breaks an earlier decision.
